Daily Itinerary

  • The pilgrimage starts with a flight from Los Angeles to Warsaw, Poland. We embark on a spiritual journey to experience the well known pilgrimage sites of Poland.

  • Upon arriving at Warsaw Airport, meet our professional English-speaking tour escort and proceed to claim your luggage. From there, transfer to the hotel and check in to settle into your accommodations. Later, celebrate Mass at St. James Church, renowned for its iconic tower and square base (subject to confirmation). This historic church holds special significance as the place where Helena Kowalska prayed extensively upon arriving in Warsaw. It was here that she confessed her burdens and sought guidance from Rev. James Dąbrowski, which ultimately led her to join the convent. Conclude the day with a welcome dinner at the hotel.

  • Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel before attending Mass at St. Stanisław Kostka Church (subject to confirmation), the burial site of Blessed Fr. Jerzy Popiełuszko, a martyr of the Solidarity movement against communism. Afterward, visit a multimedia exhibition (entrance fee included) that reflects the history of Catholic Poland under communist rule. Enjoy a sightseeing tour of Warsaw, starting with the meticulously reconstructed Old Town, which was rebuilt after World War II. Wander through its charming streets to discover the unique and historical churches of the city. Among these is the Cathedral Basilica of the Martyrdom of St. John the Baptist, modestly nestled among surrounding buildings. This 14th-century shrine, rebuilt after wartime destruction, once hosted royal weddings, coronations, and funerals, and now houses the tombs of Primate Stefan Wyszyński and other significant historical figures. Beyond the Barbican gate, which marked the old city walls, you'll pass by the Baroque-style Royal Castle (exterior views). Lunch is on your own at the Old Town. In the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive along the Royal Route, lined with government buildings, embassies, and historical landmarks. Notable stops include the Gothic St. Anne's Church, the Smaller Basilica of the Holy Cross—home to an urn containing the heart of Fryderyk Chopin—and the Roman-inspired Church of St. Alexander. The drive concludes at Łazienki Park, featuring its beautiful gardens, palaces, and the iconic Chopin Monument. End the day with dinner at the hotel and an overnight stay in Warsaw.

  • Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel and check out before departing for Niepokalanów, the "Immaculate City" built by St. Maximilian Kolbe. Visit the Sanctuary and attend Mass at the St. Maximilian Chapel (subject to confirmation). The journey continues to Pabianice, the hometown of St. Maximilian Kolbe, with lunch on your own en route. In Pabianice, visit the Church of St. Matthew the Apostle and St. Lawrence the Martyr, built between 1583 and 1588 by the Kraków Chapter. This historic church is where, in 1906, Rajmund Kolbe—later canonized as St. Maximilian—received his First Holy Communion. Drive past Konstantynowska Street 19, the site of the former Zalewski tenement house where the Kolbe family once lived. It was here that young Rajmund, alongside the host, planted trees in the garden near the house. Conclude the day's journey with a drive to Częstochowa. Upon arrival, enjoy dinner at the hotel and an overnight stay in Częstochowa.

  • After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, enjoy a guided tour of the Jasna Góra Monastery, where we will explore the Treasury, the Knight's Hall, the Refectory, the Basilica of the Holy Cross, and the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. The highlight of the visit will be viewing the famous icon of the Black Madonna, renowned for its miraculous powers. Following the tour, we will celebrate Mass at one of the chapels in the monastery (subject to confirmation). Next, we drive to Zakopane, Poland's winter capital, nestled in the scenic Tatra Mountains. During the journey, there will be free time for an independent lunch en route. Upon arrival in Zakopane, check into the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner. The evening concludes with an overnight stay at the hotel in Zakopane.

  • We start the day by celebrating Mass at the Shrine of Our Lady Fatima in Zakopane (subject to confirmation), a church built as a votive offering for Pope John Paul II's quick recovery after the assassination attempt in 1981. After Mass, we will visit Zakopane, including the Jaszczurowka Chapel and the local bazaars on Krupówki Street. We will also take a funicular to the Gubałówka mountaintop (roundtrip ticket included, subject to confirmation depending on weather conditions), where we can enjoy extraordinary views of the beautiful Tatra Mountains. The afternoon will be free for an independent lunch and leisure time in Zakopane. In the evening, we will gather for dinner at the hotel.

  • After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, we depart for Ludzmierz to visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady Queen of Podhale. This sanctuary, dating back to the 13th century, is home to the miraculous statue of Our Lady of Ludzmierz. We will celebrate Mass at the sanctuary (subject to confirmation) before continuing our journey to Kraków. Lunch will be on our own, and the afternoon will be free for leisure time in Kraków.

  • We begin the day with a morning guided tour of Kraków, starting with a visit to Wawel Hill, where we will explore the more than 900-year-old Wawel Cathedral (entrance fee included). This Polish national sanctuary has served as the coronation site for Polish monarchs and is the Cathedral of the Kraków Archdiocese. It is also where St. Pope John Paul II celebrated his first Mass in the crypt the day after his ordination and was later ordained as the auxiliary Bishop of Kraków. We will then walk along Kanonicza Street, one of Kraków's most elegant streets, lined with buildings dating back to the 10th century. We will see the buildings at numbers 19 and 21, where St. Pope John Paul II resided as a priest and bishop, now home to the Kraków Archdiocese Museum dedicated to his life and work. Next, we will continue to the Market Square to attend the ceremony of the opening of the Wit Stwosz Altar at St. Mary's Cathedral (entrance fee included), Europe’s largest wooden altar. After lunch on our own, the afternoon includes a tour of the nearby Convent of the Sisters of God’s Mother of Mercy in Łagiewniki, where St. Faustina, the Apostle of Divine Mercy, lived and died. The 19th-century brick convent is part of the Sanctuary of Divine Mercy. We will celebrate Mass at the Shrine (subject to confirmation) before visiting the "Have No Fear" Centre dedicated to St. Pope John Paul II, where we will have the opportunity to pray by his relics (time permitting). The day concludes with dinner at the hotel in Kraków and an overnight stay.

  • After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Oświęcim to visit the Nazi Concentration Camp of Auschwitz, where we will take a guided tour. During our visit, we will see the cell of the martyred St. Maximilian Kolbe, a Polish Conventual Franciscan friar who voluntarily gave his life so that another prisoner might survive. St. Maximilian Kolbe, known as the Apostle of Consecration to Mary, was canonized by St. Pope John Paul II in October 1982. We will also drive by Birkenau, the site of the martyrdom of Edith Stein, known as St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross. This visit provides a powerful opportunity for deep prayer and reflection as we continue with the guided tour of the camp. We will celebrate Mass at the St. Maximilian Kolbe Shrine at Harmeze in Auschwitz (subject to confirmation). Afterward, we will have lunch en route before returning to Kraków. The afternoon will be free for leisure time in Kraków, followed by dinner at the hotel and an overnight stay.

  • After breakfast, we enjoy a trip to Wieliczka (entrance fee and guided tour included) to visit the oldest salt mine in Europe, a world-class tourist attraction. This unique site, shaped over generations by Polish miners, features underground chambers and salt lakes, along with richly decorated chapels, including the famous Blessed Kinga’s Chapel. For centuries, it was a key source of Poland's wealth and cultural foundation, and today, it stands as one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. After the visit, lunch will be on our own. Next, we continue to Wadowice, where we will visit the birthplace and childhood home of Pope John Paul II, which is now a museum (entrance fee and audioguide included). We will celebrate Mass at the Church of the Presentation of the Virgin Mary, where Saint Pope John Paul II was baptized (subject to confirmation). During your time in Wadowice, be sure to try the famous Kremówka (cream cake), a favorite dessert of the future saint (not included). Afterward, we return to Kraków for a farewell dinner at the hotel.
